There are many ways to save energy around the house. Here are a few
of Tom's favourite tips that are simple to do,
and inexpensive to purchase:
- SAVE $40: Wash your clothes in cold water
- SAVE $33: Set your thermostat 1ºC lower than usual
- SAVE $19: Install a low-flow showerhead
- SAVE $14: Turn off your computer at night
- SAVE $9: Skip the heat-dry setting on your dishwasher
- SAVE $4: Turn off lights when you leave the room
- SAVE $4 per bulb: Switch to Compact Fluorescent (CFLs) bulbs
- SAVE $3: Unplug your device chargers once they're done
- Save $3: Set your fridge to 4ºC
Just by making these changes in your daily life,
you could SAVE OVER $100 on your heating bill!
